BLOBS PARK RECEIVES AWARD!
Hi Folks - Well I'm proud to tell everyone that Maryland Traditions, a cooperative program of the The Maryland State Arts Council, has awarded Blobs Park the ALTA (Achievement in Living Traditions and Arts) award!
SOMETHING NEW HAS BEEN ADDED !
BALLROOM DANCE LESSONS EVERY THURSDAY FROM 7 TO 8 PM with open dance following until 11 pm. Admission $8. Instructor is popular local DJ, DANCIN' DAVE!
Welcome to Blob's Park Bavarian Bier Garten! Besides being just the home of the first ever Oktoberfest in the United States, we are also a great German restaurant and SOON-TO-BE the Polka capital of the East!! Blob's Park is open Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoon. Please check our full schedule for special events. Blobs features fine Bavarian bier on tap, along with a huge selection of bottled beverages and fully stocked bar. Blobs Park is a large hall, so please bring your big group for great food and drink, music, dancing, and the time of your lives. See you soon!.

We are located six miles south of BWI (between Baltimore and Washingon) off of the Baltimore/Washington Parkway (295) at Route 175 east. Take the Odenton/Ft. Meade exit and the make a right at the flashing light (you'll see it as soon as you are on Route 175). That's Max Blobs Park Road. It winds around for about a quarter of a mile and you'll see the hall.

FREE CONCERT!

The Kiedricher KCV Musikanten and Blaskapelle Gladbachtal bands are coming to America! These two bands hosted the some residents of the DC area in July 2008. The two bands from Germany perform a broad repertoire from polkas to swing. Excitement is building as the German guests and their DC-area hosts plan for a grand tour of the sights and sounds of our nation's capital. The combined bands from the Rheingau area in Hesse, Germany, will play entertaining music at the Blob's Park in Jessup, Maryland on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 7pm. Come enjoy some good music and learn the fine German art of Gemütlichkeit!
